I have really started to like photography, probably more than I should.* I know photography isn’t about having the best equipment, but sure can help. My $200 (probably under that, actually) point-&-shoot camera is absolute crap. Its all I have to shoot with too. Lately I have been “borrowing” my schools yearbook camera once a week and I love the time I spend with it.**

Call me vain, but I am ashamed to get down in front of people and take a “serious” picture with a $200 camera. Its dumb, Useless, and provides nothing but let downs when it comes to quality pictures. I hate nothing more than going out on a shoot, taking 3 shots of the same thing, being satisfied with what I see in the preview, then getting home and seeing a full screen of crap.

While a nicer camera (like this one) wont ensure perfect pictures, It will*** make taking them alot easier by putting the control in the hands of the cameraman. That is exactly what I feel I am lacking too. I want to be able to go out and use my camera to take the photo I want to take.****
All this to say that next year I will do what I did this year for my ipod. Saving every penny I get until I have enough to buy a Canon 30D.
*Concidering I don’t have any equipment or the means to aquire it
**As you can see by all the pictures in this post
***With proper Training
****man, I love manual focus
Photography is great. And equipment really does make a difference.
Nice shots too bro! Not sure bout the second one though.
Oh and as a heads up, don’t buy from that store you linked. Scam.
Always check resellerratings.com - and if it’s too good to be true, it is.
dude, I finally got around to checking out that site, thanks for the tip.
yeah, about that second picture. I really liked it when I wrote this post, but I now see that its crap. I think I was mentally pushing some kind of weird thought that artistic shots make people think and confuse them. yeah it was weird, but it did what I thought it should at the time.
